Objectives
The objective of this guide is to help visiting users to navigate around the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade (MITYC) price observatory website http://www.observatorioprecios.es.
This guide therefore contains and defines the following:
- The navigation design and the different areas of the screen.
- The content structure.
- The development criteria as regards compliance with standards and accessibility.
Areas of the Screen and Navigation
The following sections can be distinguished on the home page of the price observatory website:

- Logos of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade and the General Secretariat for Tourism and Domestic Trade, with links to their web pages and top toolbar with links to content in different languages. The different help options include: Navigation Guide, Accessibility, Legal Notice and Contact Us.
- Access to the site's navigation menu.
- Access to the site's browsing options as an image map.
- Access to the site's browsing options as a list of links.
- Links to mityc.es, to W3C , and to other selected websites
Below is a description of the page which displays information on the product families studied for different establishments; it indicates which is the most economical and which is the most expensive for the selected city. The following new sections may be defined:

- Breadcrumbs so you know which part of the website you're in.
- Price index by province
- Table caption.
- Map of Spain, enabling you to select a province
- Drop-down menu, enabling you to select a city directly
- Indicates the establishments with the highest and lowest price index for each product family. By clicking on the family, you can access information on all establishments in the selected city, included in the study in the last quarter.
- Access georeferencing: Displays the location of the establishments on Google Maps.
- "Back" button to return to the previous page.
When selecting the localisation option (via the link in the "thumbnail" image), you reach a localisation page, where you can find different options:

- Go back to the page displaying results by city.
- Change the type of map view
- Move the map
- Drag the figure to the street for a virtual visit.
- Map zoom
- Establishment details
- Quarter in which the last study was carried out
- Table of results for the establishment
On the "Methodology" page you can see how this observatory was developed and the guidelines it has followed in evaluating the prices of the different establishments.

- "Go up" button to return to the index
In the page "Quarterly Report" you can see the evolution in product prices.

- Access to PDF for the selected quarter
- Access menu for the year
Through the Results menu, you can access the options for filtering by "City" or "Spain" in order to search for information in the price observatory. The new sections are described below:

- Select the quarter to search.
- Select the product family that you wish to search.
- Format of the data group.
- Price evolution indicator to be searched.
- "Okay" button to access the results of the selected enquiry using the above criteria.
Once you have clicked on "Okay", you will access a table of results data according to the parameters you entered in the Results page.

- Summary of the search filters selected on the previous page.
- Division of the different products into columns, click on the column heading to reorganise the selected category.
- "Back" button to return to the previous page.
